Mr. Michael T. Kane is the co-founder and Managing Director of Fairbridge Venture Partners, a Wilmington (DE)-based seed and early stage fund employing a new model for venture capital. Mike also founded and served as president of Kestrel Asset Management, a single family office near Philadelphia doing direct investment into start-up companies. Previously, he served as Vice-President of Finance for Kane Is Able, Inc., a third-generation family-owned logistics company based in Scranton, PA.

Mr. Kane holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston College. Over his twelve years of teaching college courses in philosophy and history, Mike was recognized several times by his students for excellence in teaching.

Mr. Kane is a Leaders Council member of PathNorth, a national CEO group, a member of the Business Leaders Network, a Philadelphia CEO group, and an active participant in the Institute for Private Investors, where he is a member of the Advisory Faculty. He currently serves on the board of PharmMD, a Nashville health care company, and Certes Networks, a network encryption company in Pittsburgh. Mike is an advisor to the Ben Franklin Technology Partners IT Investment Committee, and has previously been the vice-president of a Pennsylvania land trust.
