Michael Nelson has been with Staples since 2004, serving as the Vice President, Staples Brands, Staples, Inc. He is responsible for setting the Product and Brand strategies for the $3 billion Staples Brand Product business. He manages both the Product Brand Management and Product Design functions at Staples. The team is focused on developing a pipeline of innovative, exclusive products that will help differentiate Staples vs. their competition. Over the last 3 years Staples has launched numerous innovative products under the Staples Brand in their core categories — Office Supplies, Technology and Office Décor.
Prior to joining Staples, Mike worked as the Vice President of Marketing with the Rubbermaid Home Products division of Newell Rubbermaid. He also held several positions in Product Marketing at Black & Decker.
He received a BBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as well as an MBA from The Ohio State University.
