Novel Topical Gel or Medical Device for Sexual Health/Wellbeing
We are looking for a science-based topical gel or medical device which falls into the area of sexual health/wellbeing, to be used at home by the consumer. Ideally the product should not be already on the market.
We are looking for a gel which is easy to apply, non-staining, and non-sticky or greasy. It would be advantageous if the gel was odourless and colourless. The gel also needs to be relatively rapidly absorbed into the skin.
The organization is looking either to purchase a technology outright or to license the technology and would be looking for EU or global rights.
The product should fit the following criteria:
- Be defined as a topical gel or medical device
- Relate to sexual health or wellbeing
- Already have “over the counter” (OTC) or “general sales ledger” (GSL) regulatory status, or at least Phase II clinical data, or not require pharmaceutical regulatory approval
- Have strong IP or at least “know-how”; preferably the solution would be patented (or patentable) but it not essential
- Have a “Unique Selling Point” or clear product differentiator from the competition
- Be a science-based product supported with clinically based data.
The organization searching for this topical gel is a young, dynamic pharmaceutical company that develops innovative products and devices for consumer health, with a current expertise in sexual health. For the purposes of this search, sexual health/wellbeing includes 3 distinct areas:
- Contraception, hygiene, prevention of infections etc.
- Enhancement or improvement of sexual performance including natural lubrication, increased sexual libido or desire, etc.
- Female urinary incontinence and / or natural lubrication during normal life.
