| The novel invention is a highly accurate on-line system for the determination of thermophysical and thermochemical fuel parameters including heating value, oxygen demand, and Wobbe Index (or Number) for gas powered combustion systems. New discoveries associate the above parameters to thermal conductivity and specific heat. Both factors are utilized for more accurate fuel metering and combustion control (i.e. air/fuel ratio) over a wide array of fuel compositions--leading to a more uniform temperature output. A constant heat input to a pressurized burner system is achieved without the direct measurement of pressure.
