| A highly efficient means for releasing perfume agents in an absorbent product, such as a sanitary napkin, is provided. The sanitary napkin uses an adhesive containing the perfume carrying release agents. Preferably, the release agents are microcapsules that release perfume upon removal of a release liner from the adhesive, and/or during the user's wear of the sanitary napkin, and/or upon removal of the sanitary napkin from the user's undergarment. The perfume releases, which are efficient, are either as fragrance bursts, diffusion, or both. Absorbent products employing the technology are highly sanitary; moreover, they are comfortable and confer a "fresh" feel during use. |
