| Honeywell technology offers innovative fluorinated poly(naphthyl ether) (FPNE) dielectric compounds as an alternative to polyimides typically used as insulator material for multilayer electronic circuit devices. FPNE materials may be crosslinked with various crosslinking agents--such as bis-acetylene compounds. Electronic circuits made from crosslinked FPNE do not suffer the same water absorption or susceptibility to solvents as experienced with circuits insulated with polyimide. Honeywell FPNE compositions exhibit excellent adhesion characteristics and contain low dielectric constants, which are barely affected by increases in humidity. In addition, these compositions offer superior high temperature performance. Additives may be utilized to enhance particular target properties.
