| Honeywell's economical filtration process continuously captures undesirable air borne odor or gas contaminants from an air stream through unique trilobal wicking fibers. The special fibers form channels--impregnated with appropriate solid (preferably carbon or zeolite particles) and/or liquid chemistry. Wicking fibers are formed into a filter element. The contaminant removing chemisorptive liquid is held in the channels through capillary action. Any undesirable odor molecules within the chemisorptive liquid are either conveyed from the cleaned air stream or are chemically altered.
