| This technology is directed at producing fibrous composite sheets or web products that incorporate uniformly distributed particulate materials within these substrates and that offer a wide range of enhanced properties or attributes; for example, potential applications include filtration devices, personal care products, medical fabrics, garments, odor absorption, apertured film-like materials; and various specialty fabric-like products for use in superabsorbent structures, wound healing medical devices, insulation, purification systems, adhesive or binder applications. The superior distribution of the finely divided particulate, coupled with the firm attachment of these particles to the fibrous network, gives rise to the enhanced physical and chemical properties of these materials, and could give breakthrough results versus current technologies. |
