| This innovative medical technology radically changes the paradigm for cervical spinal instrumentation. The modular nature of the system and early procedural instrumentation assist the spinal surgery. Distraction and compression can be tailored at each level with the modular fixation set, providing a more physiologic surgical construct. Specialized bioelastic modular plates will maintain tension across a bone graft. Novel bone nails or “Talons” will facilitate the plating procedure, reducing X-ray exposure. Artificial disks can be incorporated into the modular construct. Surgical revisions at adjacent levels will be able to be incorporated with the modular instrumentation.
