| We offer a display technology packaged in a thin, unbreakable, flexible, and easy to handle display. It features high durability against light, heat, water, and chemicals; and it saves energy. If that isn’t enough, it will be able to digitize information input by magnetic pen, while displaying. Just what is this unique display technology? Main Features -The plastic base material differs from that of conventional liquid crystal or EL displays. This material enables the display to be made thin, unbreakable, flexible and easy to handle. With liquid crystal and EL technology, image reliability can't be maintained without a glass substrate. -Polarization display principles are the same as with liquid crystal. The key difference is the thin film magnetic material (transparent) used for image display instead of liquid crystal. This dramatically increases robustness to light, heat, water, and chemicals. This means that the new display can withstand the severe working environments mobile devices encounter, including extreme differences in temperature, high humidity, contact with chemicals and the inevitable physical abuse that comes with mobile use. Just as with magnetic tape, the magnetic material never loses magnetization unless put in a strong magnetic field. That means no energy is consumed to retain displayed images, which translates to energy stingy operating conditions. And because the magnetic film can be made less than 1 micron thick, the entire display comes in at under 1 mm. We all know how important thinness is to mobile displays. A magnetic field generated from a coil array is used to magnetize the magnetic material (transparent) for display. This coil can also detect magnetic fields simultaneously, so we can expect it to read characters written by magnetic pen as digital information in the future. In the past, a separate touch panel or the like had to be used in addition to the display unit. This new technology eliminates that requirement. |
