| Avery Dennison Corporation has developed a breathable pressure sensitive adhesive building wrap or house wrap suitable for use on the exterior surfaces on buildings prior to the attachment of siding materials. The material is comprised of a barrier layer which provides a moisture barrier against outside water or moisture, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for ease of installation. When a pressure sensitive adhesive is used, it eliminates the problems and inconveniences associated with staples and nails. The novel adhesive approaches used in the design of this product, provide for water vapor transmission to allow for water vapor to exit the structure. |
