| Forecasting the volcanic hazards at active volcanoes is based on the processing and interpretation of signals as well as the assessment of volcanic phenomena. Within the framework of the EU-project MULTIMO (Multi-disciplinary monitoring, modelling and forecasting of volcanic hazard) a new method for remote sensing of volcanic gas emissions, principally sulphur dioxide gas (SO2), has been developed. |
