| This new technology offers an adhesive that is suitable for making an electrically conductive connection to a material or system which is operated at high temperatures, or can even be a heating element. The technology was developed by Philips and SIMTech as part of the flat heating technology for clothes irons, where a need for a reliable, strong and cost efficient glue was required as techniques such as soft soldering had too low a melting point and hard solder too high a melting point for use with aluminum plates. Several other 'glues' where exhaustively tested and all failed, or were unsuitable, therefore we developed a 'super glue' based on sol-gel precursors which had all the properties we required.adhesive cost effective flexible material adhering electrically conductive connection |
