| In today’s Voice over IP solutions acoustic echo, electric echo and background noise must be dealt with in order to ensure a high level of voice quality. One of the primary challenges faced by VoIP solutions manufacturers in delivering voice communications over packet networks is the elimination of the echo. The Alcatel-Lucent echo cancellation technology is a main part component of the signal processing applications embedded in the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPcx Enterprise Voice over IP solutions. The eHPEC has been developed and validated from Customers Field experience in Europe and US. It allows the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPcx Enterprise to be the leader in VoIP solutions according to voice quality. The eHPEC is a mature technology, tested at different stages of its lifecycle : unitary tests, ITU-T G.168 conformance tests as a minimum requirement, integration and validation. Moreover, non intrusive signal monitoring tools are embedded in. These tools deliver an essential set of voice quality statistics and management, to help analysis and troubleshooting on potential issues that may occur according to the IETF RFC3611 RTCP XR Signal Metrics.
