| CO2 can be separated/removed from a fluorocarbon/CO2 mixture using a semipermeable membrane, eliminating both alkali scrubbing and the potential for introducing new impurities. The process recovers very high percentages of fluorocarbons, and can be applied to process streams containing low or even trace quantities of CO2.
