| Previously it was impossible to consistently squeeze an exact dose of semi-solids from a tube. A novel closure technology now makes this possible by means of a 180 degree rotating closure that allows the user to dispense an exact dose each time. It has distinct market opportunities for pharmaceutical trans-dermal and oral applications, as well as glue dispensing, semi-solid food dispensing, paint dispensing as well as promotional appeal for new product launches. Whether the application be dermatological, trans-dermal drugs, oral delivery or dosage control during clinical trials, the MC closure provides a dispensing solution to facilitate new drugs to market in the shortest possible space. That leaves more time for the drug company to benefit commercially from its patent protected period. Certain types of glue requires mixing two separate compounds at the point of use. Improper mixing causes less than optimal bonding which reflect negatively on the quality of the glue, with the result of damaging the brand. This risk can now be eliminated. Dental compounds are also mixed just prior to application. Exact dose mixing is of primary importance to ensure satisfactory results. This technology will ensure that consistent results are obtained. Other potential applications are exact dose dispensing of artist paint, prescription toothpaste, food condiments, hair dye or cosmoceutical products like sun screen creams and advanced skin care formulations.
