Ultrasound non-contact micromanipulation
A method of non-contact micromanipulation using ultrasound is proposed in this invention. According to this method, micro particles may be trapped at prescribed small regions and moved in a direction that is substantially parallel to the operating surface of the apparatus. Also major additional advantage of this method is to enable to expand the range of particles that could be manipulated so long as the particles had a different acoustic impedance from that of the medium in the apparatus.
