| PharmaDur™ is a novel polymer-based technology that provides significant benefits over conventional forms of transdermal drug delivery -- a worldwide market well in excess of $3 billion. Also used for transmucosal and ophthalmic applications, PharmaDur™ provides significant advantages over currently available mechanisms for drug delivery. PharmaDur™ is a topical application that yields an invisible, durable and imperceptible hydrogel film ("Virtual Patch"). It establishes a hydrogel film that creates a monolithic reservoir from which drug substances are released at a controlled rate for transdermal transport.
