| Splash is a revolutionary location-based services (LBS) platform for the delivery of marketing messages, emergency alerts and other content to cell phones and other mobile devices. The Splash platform automatically discerns the user's location from the GPS chip built into the cell phone. Location-based services are services distributed by wireless carriers and their partners which provide information specific to a location, delivered to a user's mobile handset. The advantage of LBS is that mobile users don't have to manually enter ZIP codes or other location identifiers. Examples of location-based services include mobile marketing, social networking, traffic alerts, fleet tracking, and emergency alerts (tornado, earthquake, tsunami, etc.).
