| This technology dramatically reduces the carbon monoxide (CO) and carbonyl sulfide (COS) emissions from titanium ore fluidized bed chlorinators. There are well-known process advantages in operating the chlorinator in the "ferrous mode." Operation in this fashion creates amounts of CO and COS in the gaseous product stream that frequently stress environmental regulations.
