| This GPS-enabled accessory transforms MP3 players like the Apple iPod mobile digital device into location-specific playback devices, suitable for audio tours. By attaching the accessory to their personal MP3 players, motorists can enjoy museum-quality audio tours (“iTours”) presented over the vehicle’s sound system. GPS signals trigger narratives that correspond exactly to the observational perspective of the traveler. “iTours” are downloaded from the Internet into the MP3 player. iTours consist of audio tracks (and possibly other media including maps and photos), each tagged with GPS coordinates. Example: Instead of downloading a 12-track music CD, the subscriber downloads a 150-track “Route 66 Tour” or “Civil War Battlefields” tour.
