| MILIFE and MILIFE T are unique non-wovens that offer extremely low basis-weight at full roll width; a smooth, high-quality paper-like surface that easily accepts printing, folding, and metalizing; and extra strength and toughness. MILIFE is a double-layer non-woven where one layer comprises filaments that are aligned machine-direction (MD) and the other comprises filaments aligned in the cross-direction (CD). Aligning filaments minimizes overlap, and MILIFE achieves an exceptionally thin profile, low basis-weight (8g/m2), and toughness. MILIFE T is a similar material comprising only one layer of aligned MD filaments, and can be produced at basis-weights to 5g/m2. Because of their smooth, even, silky surface and a hand similar to that of fine Japanese rice paper, the non-wovens have a wide range of applications in decoration, high-quality packaging, reinforcing, metalizing, and similar uses where its strength, thin profile, appearance, and low basis-weight offer major advantages. |
