| An electric current controls an electro-chemical reaction, at which a consumable gas drags a piston caused by the reduced pressure. At the other side of the piston the same volume (of gas, liquid and particles therein) is sucked from outside into the pump-cylinder. The method enables for reliable, electrically controllable drainage or sampling. The method allows various applications such as controlled drainage (e.g. for surgical medicine), liquid extractions (e.g.in pharmaceutical plants) and remote surveillance or sampling of particles (e.g. pollen or dust in the air). |
