| This technology sterilizes air; eliminating odours, preventing infections and even extending the shelf life of food. It has a wide variety of applications on an industrial and home scale. It has use in permanent and temporary medical environments (theatres, isolation units etc), in the food and chemical industry on external and internal extraction systems preventing industrial odours, and on production lines and in food processing for food preservation. Home uses include providing clean air for allergy sufferers and also as a home device to combat odours. For absolute hygiene, air is often the least considered element. There are many systems that attempt to clean air. Our client has designed a scalable system that results in 100% removal of micro-organisms with one pass through of air. The technology has optimised UV exposure with a specialised lamp construction and array formation. The system can be modulised according to the required volume flows, can react to changes due to a proprietary micro-chip technology and can be used in conjunction with HEPA filters to remove all unwanted bodies within an air stream while extending the life of the HEPA filters. The underlying technology copes with the variation in atmospheric conditions and enables an intelligent activation of the required number of modules needed during operation. The system is made up of a series of highly developed tubular modules that include a unique internal intelligent microchip that understands changes in the humidity and temperature of the atmosphere and adapts the optimised UV exposure and flow in the unit (or series of units) to apply the minimum power required to achieve full sterilization. |
