A Filter that removes NOx and SOx at various temperature ranges
Most NOx catalytic filters operate at temperatures as high as 200 degrees C. This filter removes 100% of NOx and SOx at ambient temperatures. In addition to its application to internal combustion engines, it can operate to remove pollution from a building’s air or make the exhaust of an indoor generator breathable. The current generation of highly effective NOx filters requires ammonia or urea as consumables; this technology does not, and operates as an adsorbent for NOx or SOx. This makes it most useful in situations where NOx content needs to be monitored and filtered for a given time period, where it’s not practical to store large quantities of consumable chemicals, and where regular maintenance may be an issue.
