| This technology comprises a process for applying an antimicrobial/anti-odor coating to polyester, nylon, polyolefins, Sontara®, stainless steel, and other materials. This natural antimicrobial coating is applied to maximize efficacy and durability, e.g., up to 50 washing cycles for coated garments. This technology has potential for a wide variety of durable and consumable goods such as woven and non-woven textiles, personal hygiene, construction, and public facility applications. The antimicrobial agent is nature-derived, safe, and cost effective. The coating has demonstrated a 99.9+% effectiveness, and has a low probability of generating resistant microbes.
