Meet the yet2 Team – Chris Waites

This is one in a series of blog posts where we highlight members of the global yet2 team. We recently spoke with Chris Waites, strategic account manager based out of our Nottingham office.

Chris Waites joined yet2 as a Strategic Account Manager, bringing over a decade of experience in the food and drink sector. His career has spanned account management roles in engineering and marketing services before transitioning into food and beverage, where he has supported global businesses with innovation, regulatory, food safety, and quality challenges.

Prior to yet2, Chris served as Key Account Manager at the globally renowned Campden BRI, managing a portfolio of high-profile, blue-chip clients. Known for his structured approach and strong client focus, Chris consistently delivers results by understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations. He holds an MBA in Economics from the University of Sheffield.

What industry or technology interests or excites you the most right now?

AI and its potential to use for industrial application.

What type of client engagements do you enjoy the most?

F2F introductory meetings. I love meeting new people and learning about their work and life hobbies.

Do you have any book recommendations? Unfortunately, I’m not a book worm. However, I do love a podcast with “The Peter Crouch Podcast” being my favourite. Sorry I’m a sports geek!

Are there any areas/topics in which you consider yourself an expert?

What do you do when you are not working?

I love to go away for the weekend in my camper van and hike in the lake district with my partner and dog.
