Hear from NIST at the PSCR 2020 meeting as they present the results of a yet2 technology search for UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems – drones) to support first responder missions.

The objective of this tech scouting project was to find UAS – drones that met NIST’s minimum requirements. yet2 identified 41 companies with UAS designed for:

  • Industrial applications (wind turbine inspection, agriculture, mapping, surveying, cleaning)
  • Government (law enforcement, fire, security)
  • Photography/cinematography
  • Commercial payload delivery

Out of the 41 identified, 36 could take off and land vertically — these were the ones NIST was most interested in.
