Within the aging society, locomotive syndrome and sarcopenia have become serious issues particularly among senior citizens. In order to alleviate such symptoms, we seek food/beverage ingredients that can strengthen muscles. The target market includes both senior citizens and younger generations.
For example, we are interested not only in ingredients that are directly involved in muscle synthesis or decomposition inhibition such as whey protein, BCAA or HMB, but also in ones that can influence hormone secretion or enzyme activation if they lead to muscle strengthening.
Constraints:
- The ingredient must have efficacy.
- Needs to show evidence and mechanism of action (clinical studies preferred).
- There are no specific restrictions on the final form of transaction such as ingredient supply or license.
- Information about mass-production (industrial volume) availability or plans for mass-production scalability needed.
- Only ingredients that can be incorporated into beverages and foods are of interest (medicinal/drug applications are not of interest)
