This organization is seeking commercially available tests that provide information about a user’s macronutrient needs.
Background:
In order to provide personalized health services, this organization is interested in a test that gives information about a person’s macronutrient needs, preferably based on, but not limited to, genetic markers. The focus of this search is on the analytical procedure and scientific interpretation rationale, i.e. a proven relationship between a genotype and phenotype. Ideally this would go beyond a literature review of case studies/genetic markers that have a statistical association but no further testing.
Constraints:
Macronutrient test will:
- Have technically sound scientific interpretation, ideally with data supporting a relationship between genotype and phenotype
- Commercially available or commercial availability within 1-2 years
- Easy, user performed sample collection (ex. buccal swab, finger prick, etc.)
- Not be a medical genetic test used for diagnosis of a disease or medical condition
Possible Solution Areas:
Buccal swab genetic test, Dried blood spot or finger prick test, Combinations of the above
Desired outcome of the solution:
Looking for partners to make the technology.
